Police cracks Chadoora Panchayat Ghar Fire case | KNO

Says accused arrested, incriminating material recovered

Srinagar, October 04 (KNO) : Police on Thursday claimed to have solved Chadoora panchayat ghar fire case by arresting an accused in this regard. "On 19-09-2018, at around 10 pm, Police station Chadoora received information that some miscreants have set ablaze a Panchayat Ghar at Kultreh Chadoora," police spokesman said in a statement issued to (KNO).

He said that a Police party from P/S Chadoora rushed to the spot and with the help of Fire and Emergency Services doused the fire. "Subsequently an FIR No 131/2018 under relevant sections was registered in P/S Chadoora and investigation started," he added. He said that during the course of investigation, on the basis of different leads, one suspect namely Muzzafar Ahmad Wani, son of Gh Mohidin Wani of Dawlatpora Chadura was put to questioning. "On the basis of evidences collected by police and questioning, he was found involved in setting ablaze the Panchayat Ghar at Kultreh," he added.

"Later on, on the authority of search warrant obtained from the competent court, police conducted a search at his home from where 03 AK Magazines, 1 Pouch and other incriminating material was also recovered," he said. "The investigation of the case is still going on and shall be culminated on merits," he added.(KNO)
